Marketing Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to develop, lead, and execute strategic marketing initiatives that support key business objectives and drive growth across targeted customer segments.

This role will be responsible for developing customer-focused marketing strategies, managing integrated marketing campaigns, identifying market trends and opportunities, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to increase customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and brand awareness.

The ideal candidate brings strong strategic marketing, program management, campaign development, market research, and analytical skills, along with the ability to influence stakeholders and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Initiate, develop, lead, and manage marketing strategies, positioning, initiatives, and programs that support company objectives.
  • Develop marketing strategies for specific customer segments, including brokers, clients, consumers, and providers.
  • Establish short- and long-term marketing goals, competitive positioning, and strategies for assigned market segments.
  • Identify strategies, develop plans, and lead initiatives that address the needs of targeted market segments.
  • Develop programs designed to increase business opportunities and improve retention within assigned market segments.
  • Establish goals, KPIs, and performance targets to measure program success.
  • Measure the effectiveness and ROI of marketing plans and initiatives.

Integrated Marketing Campaigns

  • Develop and manage integrated marketing and advertising campaigns.
  • Execute campaigns across multiple channels, including:
    • Digital advertising
    • Print advertising
    • Direct mail
    • Email marketing
  • Partner with internal creative teams and external agencies to develop and execute marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Communications Managers to ensure messaging, positioning, and promotional strategies are aligned and effective.
  • Determine appropriate messaging for specific market segments based on research, competitive positioning, and value propositions.
  • Customize marketing content and communications for targeted audiences.

Customer & Market Insights

  • Identify customer expectations, needs, behaviors, and attitudes through primary and secondary research.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.
  • Use customer and market insights to develop initiatives that strengthen the overall customer experience.
  • Ensure changing customer needs and market priorities are incorporated into marketing strategies.
  • Identify opportunities that help maintain and strengthen the organization's competitive market position.

Brand Management

  • Serve as a central resource for brand-related information.
  • Coordinate with business partners to develop and deploy brand-building programs.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on brand-related issues, standards, and opportunities.
  • Ensure customer experiences, marketing programs, and communications effectively deliver on the brand promise.
  • Maintain consistency across marketing positioning, messaging, and promotional activities.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Sales, Product Development, Communications, and other business areas to develop and execute marketing strategies.
  • Drive adoption of marketing programs at both the field and account-specific levels.
  • Set strategic direction for project teams and influence stakeholders to achieve program objectives.
  • Ensure products, services, and marketing programs effectively address the needs of targeted customer segments.
  • Collaborate across business functions to maximize distribution channels and market opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4 years of marketing experience, preferably within a customer-focused market segment.
  • 4 years of program management and leadership experience, including demonstrated ability to recommend strategic direction and influence change.
  • 4 years of advanced knowledge of marketing concepts, theories, and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing strategies and programs.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong strategic planning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to evaluate marketing performance and results.
  • Advanced presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively utilize multiple communication channels and customize content for targeted audiences.
  • Ability to successfully operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
