Nesco Resource is looking for a Manufacturing Technician located in Danbury, CT. This is a contract position for the right candidate. Duration of assignment is expected to last 3-6 months with possibility to last longer.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support the assembly, rebuilding, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electromechanical equipment. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys hands-on work, working with tools, and assembling equipment according to engineering specifications and work instructions.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electromechanical assembly of components, subassemblies, and finished equipment.
- Use standard hand tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, and power-assisted fastening tools.
- Utilize jigs, fixtures, dies, product dollies, overhead cranes, and other manufacturing equipment as needed.
- Read and follow basic blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and assembly documentation.
- Follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Troubleshoot assembly issues, identify defects, and perform basic repairs and adjustments.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality and engineering specifications.
- Assist with equipment rebuilding, reconditioning, and modification.
- Work with manufacturing leads and engineering personnel on prototype and first-article builds.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with common hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and understand basic blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or electromechanical environment preferred.
- Experience with mechanical or electromechanical assembly is a plus.
- Basic understanding of electronics, including PCBs, circuits, or electrical components, preferred.
- Familiarity with PLCs, system testing, or troubleshooting is a plus.
- Experience working with manufacturing equipment, machinery, or automated systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently with moderate supervision and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
