Manufacturing Mechanic
Pay:$30–$35/hour
Shift:
3rd Shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM)
Position Summary
Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment while following cGMP, SOP, safety, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic manufacturing equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Support equipment setup, changeovers, and production troubleshooting.
- Perform maintenance documentation, equipment logs, and repair records.
- Follow cGMP, SOP, OSHA, and safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with root cause analysis and equipment improvements.
Equipment Experience
- Troubleshoot and maintain pharmaceutical production equipment, including:
- Tablet presses (Cadmach, Fette)
- Capsule filling machines (ACG, Bosch)
- Experience with mechanical systems, industrial controls, pneumatics, and electrical troubleshooting preferred.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2–4 years of manufacturing maintenance experience required.
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with cGMP, SOPs, and regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
- Ability to read technical manuals, follow instructions, and complete maintenance documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and access equipment using ladders as needed.
