Manufacturing Mechanic

Pay:$30–$35/hour
Shift: 3rd Shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM)

Position Summary

Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment while following cGMP, SOP, safety, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Support equipment setup, changeovers, and production troubleshooting.
  • Perform maintenance documentation, equipment logs, and repair records.
  • Follow cGMP, SOP, OSHA, and safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and equipment improvements.

Equipment Experience

  • Troubleshoot and maintain pharmaceutical production equipment, including:
    • Tablet presses (Cadmach, Fette)
    • Capsule filling machines (ACG, Bosch)
  • Experience with mechanical systems, industrial controls, pneumatics, and electrical troubleshooting preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2–4 years of manufacturing maintenance experience required.
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience with cGMP, SOPs, and regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, follow instructions, and complete maintenance documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and access equipment using ladders as needed.
