Summary:
An Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Expert II is a specialized professional who applies expert knowledge of manufacturing processes to optimize production, reduce costs, and improve product quality. They work across various areas like New Product Introduction (NPI), process development, and automation, collaborating with other teams to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

• Responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of new production materials, equipment, and technologies before conducting mass production.
• Work with Engineering and Operations to define, develop and implement capital projects as needed to support business objectives and facilitate continuous improvement.
• Work directly with Operators, Maintenance personnel and Supervisors to diagnose, troubleshoot and correct or optimize processes, automation and equipment molding.
• Conducts technical feasibility tests to ensure production efficiency.
• Design, procure and implement process equipment and tooling for maintenance replacements and new / improved product projects.
• Considered an operational, maintenance process and engineering expert in process related manufacturing and will generally coordinate with Plant Management to deliver continuous improvement of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost in the designated and / or assigned areas.
• Have a thorough understanding of process control systems and technologies to complete the assignments of the job.
• Select and communicate with vendors to determine product specifications.
• Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager.
• Identify and implement improvements to the value-stream on the production floor.
• Identify and implement kaizen-burst improvements on plant floor.
• Will be required to lead ad-hoc improvement teams and / or standing natural area teams.
• Depending on the situation and business need may be required to directly manage 3-5 exempt level individuals towards accomplishment of the business unit goals.

Education/Experience:
• Four (4) year Engineering, and/or Engineering Technician degree.
• Minimum 5 years Manufacturing experience in a process environment;
• PLC / VFD Drive and automated process equipment competencies.
• Six-Sigma or similar Variability, Reduction and Control preferred experience.
• Ability to read and create electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Development and implementation of Process Quality Control specifications and systems.
• Demonstrated good communication skills.
