Job Summary
The Manufacturing Associate plays a critical role in supporting the safe, efficient, and consistent production of specialty products. This position is responsible for performing tasks throughout the manufacturing process, from handling raw materials through final product packaging.
The Manufacturing Associate may operate various types of machinery, monitor production processes, perform quality checks, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate understands industrial safety practices, basic mechanical principles, standard operating procedures (SOPs), chemical handling, quality requirements, and housekeeping standards.
Schedule: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Overtime: As needed
Key Responsibilities

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), company policies, and all applicable safety regulations.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for each assigned task and maintain PPE in safe, usable condition.

Operate production equipment and perform assigned tasks according to training and direction from supervisors or experienced personnel.

Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and promptly report potential quality or compliance issues to the supervisor.

Perform equipment start-up and shutdown procedures as directed.

Participate in cross-training across various production line positions.

Maintain accurate production counts and complete required production documentation.

Keep production areas organized, clean, and free of safety hazards.

Perform basic equipment maintenance tasks, such as greasing, adjusting, and cleaning designated parts of the production line, in support of the Autonomous Maintenance Program.

Work toward and support safety goals established by supervisors and management.

Assist with training Laborers and newly hired Manufacturing Associates as assigned.

Perform general labor duties as needed to meet production requirements.

Attend safety meetings and participate in safety audits.

Maintain reliable attendance and report to work on time.

Perform other duties as assigned to support production operations.
Skills & Experience
Required Qualifications

Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures related to safety, quality, security, and manufacturing operations.

Strong attention to detail.

Basic math skills and the ability to apply mathematical concepts in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to multitask and monitor multiple processes simultaneously.

Ability to read, understand, and follow posted signage and safety instructions throughout the facility.

Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures and equipment operator manuals.

Understanding of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Understanding of Hazard Communication (HazCom) requirements.

Ability to successfully demonstrate an understanding of safety rules and regulations through written or verbal assessments following training.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities, tasks, and production requirements.

Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous manufacturing or production experience.

Experience working with chemicals or in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Forklift experience or certification.

Previous experience reading and following SOPs.

Experience operating manufacturing or production equipment.

Must have a full range of motion sufficient to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop, and kneel.

Must be able to perform repetitive and physically demanding work under varying environmental and climate conditions.

Must be able to work in a manufacturing/plant environment with varying temperatures and physical demands.
