Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual machine tools including lathes, mills, and horizontal/vertical boring equipment as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to machine parts to exact specifications
- Perform full setups independently, including tooling selection and alignment
- Machine large, heavy parts to tight tolerances
- Adjust machine settings such as feeds, speeds, and cuts based on material and setup
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators)
- Maintain equipment and ensure a safe, organized work area
- Use and maintain own machinist tools
Qualifications
- 5 years of manual machining experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment
- Experience working with medium to large components
- Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot machining issues
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must pass pre-employment screening
Pay:$25–$35/hour (based on experience)
