Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join a manufacturing team in Shelbyville, TN. This is a direct-hire opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and keep operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery and facility equipment.

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and perform timely repairs.

  • Disassemble, repair, reassemble, test, and adjust equipment to restore proper operation.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and respond to emergency equipment breakdowns.

  • Fabricate replacement parts when possible and install new components as needed.

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, and maintenance instructions.

  • Use hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and material-handling equipment to complete maintenance tasks.

  • Perform basic machining, plumbing, carpentry, and general facility maintenance as needed.

  • Identify equipment malfunctions, defective materials, and potential maintenance concerns and report findings to supervision.

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, along with maintenance-related training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • At least 3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in industrial maintenance.

  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.

  • Industrial electrical troubleshooting experience and some PLC knowledge.

  • Ability to read equipment manuals, follow work orders, and diagnose maintenance issues.

  • Knowledge of material flow and inventory control.

  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials as required.

  • Dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

  • Must be able to provide a reasonable set of personal tools.
