Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our client's manufacturing team on 3rd Shift. In this role, you will help ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of manufacturing operations by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, and completing mechanical and electrical repairs.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in maintaining equipment, minimizing downtime, and supporting a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Troubleshoot and maintain mixing and extrusion machinery.

Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation schematics and diagrams.

Perform mechanical repairs on equipment including conveyors, pumps, valves, drives, motors, blowers, hoppers, and other rotating and stationary machinery.

Perform basic electrical installations, repairs, and troubleshooting.

Complete and accurately document scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) activities.

Complete Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks as scheduled.

Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC systems.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Follow all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and permit-to-work requirements.

Identify critical spare parts for new or modified equipment and communicate recommendations to the Maintenance Lead.

Coordinate with external service providers when specialized equipment maintenance or repairs are required.

Provide manufacturing support during after-hours or weekends when needed.

Work overtime as scheduled or required.

Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn complex manufacturing systems.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience & Skills
-
5+ years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
-
Strong working knowledge of electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
-
Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
-
Experience with mixing and extrusion equipment preferred.
-
Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
-
HVAC troubleshooting experience.
-
Background in construction-related trades such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, concrete, or masonry is a plus.

Experience working with external contractors or service providers.

Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize daily maintenance needs.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-
Ability to identify problems, communicate solutions, and work effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams.

Basic mathematical and calculation skills.
-
Familiarity with inventory, scheduling, and other workplace technology.
-
Ability to operate tow motors/forklifts and pallet jacks.
-
Knowledge of applicable workplace regulations and standards, including OSHA, NFPA, and EPA requirements.
Physical Requirements

Ability to transport tools, parts, and materials throughout the plant and warehouse.

Ability to access all areas of the facility, including rooftops and elevated platforms.

Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
-
Ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoor/outdoor areas and confined spaces.

Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of an industrial maintenance position.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Previous industrial maintenance experience required.

Ability to pass a pre-employment screening.
