Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Webster, NY

Summary:  Nesco Resource is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join a world-class beverage manufacturing facility in Webster, NY. This direct hire opportunity offers the chance to work with state-of-the-art production equipment in a modern manufacturing environment while supporting plant operations through equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate has experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Pay Rate:

  • $36.00/Hour
    • + $2.00/Hour Shift Differential
    • Eligible for Quarterly Bonus

Shift:

  • Overnight Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Rotating Schedule:

  • 2 Days On, 2 Days Off with Alternating Weekends Off
    • Example Schedule:
    • Week 1: Mon-Tues (On), Wed-Thurs (Off), Fri-Sat (On)
    • Week 2: Sun (On), Mon-Tues (Off), Wed-Thurs (On), Fri-Sat (Off)

Job Duties:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment including conveyors, pumps, compressors, valves, fillers, and palletizers
  • Diagnose and replace electrical control components including sensors, switches, pushbuttons, and motor starters
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, rebuilds, repairs, and equipment adjustments
  • Complete work orders and accurately document labor hours, repairs, and parts usage
  • Operate shop equipment including welders, grinders, drill presses, and various hand tools
  • Support fabrication, modification, installation, and improvement of manufacturing equipment
  • Assist with equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Follow all safety, food safety, environmental, and maintenance procedures
  • Participate in plant safety programs and maintain compliance with company standards
  • Identify equipment issues and communicate concerns to leadership as appropriate
  • Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and basic electrical repair
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail
  • Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools safely and effectively

Food Safety Responsibilities:

  • Report any conditions that may impact food safety or product quality
  • Follow all company, customer, and regulatory food safety requirements
  • Take corrective action when food safety or quality concerns are identified
  • Identify and document nonconforming materials, processes, or systems
  • Stop or control processing of nonconforming products until issues are resolved

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment, machinery, and varying temperatures
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and crawling
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs independently
  • Team lifting required for items exceeding 100 lbs
  • Frequent pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, and balancing
  • Manual dexterity required for equipment maintenance, repairs, and tool operation
  • Exposure to elevated temperatures up to approximately 110°F during equipment operation and sanitation processes
  • Must follow all PPE, safety, and food safety requirements
