Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding multi-spindle screw machines and related production equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, and routine servicing of industrial machinery, with a focus on multi-spindle screw machines.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Repair, rebuild, and replace machine components including spindles, gears, bearings, cams, collets, feed mechanisms, tooling attachments, and drive systems.
  • Disassemble, inspect, repair, reassemble, align, and test equipment following repairs or overhauls.
  • Rebuild machine attachments such as thread rollers, die heads, slotters, and related tooling.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, including repairs performed and parts utilized.
  • Partner with production personnel to identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements and company policies.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, machining, or mechanics preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with Acme-Gridley, Euroturn, or Davenport multi-spindle machines is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of gears, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
  • Familiarity with CNC lathes, automatic turning machines, or related equipment.
  • OSHA, industrial maintenance, or other technical certifications.
  • Welding, fabrication, and machining experience.

Salary $22-$30 an hour based on experience
Shift 1st (6 am to 430 pm Monday through Thursday)(OT on Friday if needed)
