Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
This position is responsible for improving the overall operating performance of manufacturing equipment to meet production, quality, and efficiency goals. The role focuses on preventative maintenance programs, machine upgrades, troubleshooting downtime issues, and continuous improvement of machine reliability and efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all manufacturing equipment
  • Improve machinery efficiency and reliability through established PM programs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment downtime and quality issues
  • Lead by example to ensure the maintenance team is proactive and productive in supporting production
  • Ensure proper use of inventory control systems and parts management
  • Maintain general maintenance housekeeping standards
  • Assist Engineering with major projects, machine upgrades, and equipment overhauls
  • Support and follow all safety programs, including Lockout/Tagout procedures
  • Ensure all machine safety devices are operational and compliant
  • Take after-hours emergency calls for equipment breakdowns as required
  • Observe and comply with all good manufacturing and maintenance practices

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a technical field with 2 years of related experience OR 5 years of experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician
  • Must provide own tools
  • Previous maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment a plus
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to direct and motivate team members to complete tasks efficiently
  • Advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with machine modifications and rebuilds
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
  • Understanding of PLCs and ladder logic
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to obtain Forklift and Scissor Lift certification
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts as needed

Shift 1 st (Monday through Friday 6 am to 3 pm)
