Maintenance Technician

Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a manufacturing facility in Rochester, NY. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, as well as supporting production equipment and facility operations. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong hands-on experience looking to grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Pay Rate:
- $19.00 – $26.00/Hour
Shift:
- Monday – Thursday | 3:15 PM – 1:45 AM
- On-call every 4th weekend
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose and repair electro-mechanical equipment issues
- Perform equipment disassembly, repair, and reassembly
- Support production equipment setup and operation
- Assist operators with troubleshooting and equipment issues
- Perform facility maintenance including light electrical, plumbing, and general upkeep
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Assist engineering with installation, testing, and validation of equipment
- Build fixtures and machine attachments as needed
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, lifts, and snow removal equipment
- Maintain safe and compliant work practices
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic systems
- Manufacturing experience preferred (flexible packaging a plus)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment
- Requires standing, bending, lifting, and working with tools
- PPE required including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes
- Exposure to hot/humid conditions at times
