Position: Maintenance Technician

Summary:  Nesco Resource is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations in Rochester, NY. This temp-to-perm opportunity is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional with a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining production machinery, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting facility operations to ensure efficient and safe production.

Pay Rate:

  • $19.00 - $26.00/Hour (Based On Experience)

Shift(s):

  • 2nd Shift: 3:15 PM - 1:45 AM | Monday - Thursday
    • On-call every 4th weekend

Job Duties:

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with electro-mechanical production equipment
  • Perform equipment disassembly, repair, adjustments, and reassembly
  • Support production equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting
  • Assist operators with equipment concerns and process interruptions
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections
  • Complete facility maintenance tasks including light electrical, plumbing, and general repairs
  • Assist engineering teams with equipment installation, testing, and validation activities
  • Build, modify, and install fixtures or machine attachments as needed
  • Operate forklifts, lifts, and snow removal equipment when required
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and communicate equipment concerns
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3-5 years of maintenance experience with mechanical, electrical, and/or pneumatic systems
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Flexible packaging experience is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical information, manuals, and equipment documentation
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond to changing production needs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with production equipment
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working with tools
  • Ability to perform hands-on repairs and maintenance activities
  • Exposure to noise, dust, moving machinery, and varying temperatures
  • Occasional exposure to hot and humid conditions
  • Must wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear
  • Ability to safely perform maintenance tasks while following all workplace safety requirements
