Nesco Resource is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing facility in Gray Court, SC.
This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and be committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, installation, and repair of production machinery and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing systems.
- Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and perform scheduled maintenance repairs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
- Diagnose equipment issues, replace defective components, and test equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
- Perform basic machinist duties as needed.
- Identify and report faulty operations, defective materials, and safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
- Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
- Familiarity with the metric system preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and strong initiative.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds frequently.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Ability to work on concrete floors for long periods of time.
- Must possess good vision, including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception .
