Industrial Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

Pay Rate:$29.66/hour + $2.00 shift differential = $31.66/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–11:30 PM
Overtime: Mandatory overtime required
Experience: 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience
Education: High School Diploma/GED required; technical or trade education preferred

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment and strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. This position requires someone who can work independently, prioritize maintenance needs, and provide direction to other maintenance personnel when needed.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment.

• Respond to maintenance work orders through the preventive maintenance program.

• Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.

• Inspect and repair pumps, fans, valves, motors, and related equipment.

• Test equipment performance using appropriate diagnostic and measurement instruments.

• Adjust, repair, and replace electrical and electronic components and pneumatic relays.

• Support facility and building maintenance to keep the manufacturing environment functional.

• Work with outside contractors and service providers as needed.

• Fabricate, weld, solder, and perform plumbing-related work when approved by Engineering/Safety management.

• Champion and follow proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

• Maintain accurate inventory of machine parts and maintenance supplies and reorder materials as needed.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following 5S practices.

• Identify and report production or equipment issues to the appropriate Supervisor or Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

• Provide direction and assistance to other maintenance personnel as needed.

• Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and maintenance practices.

• Perform other duties of an equal or lower classification as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. International diplomas may require English translation.

• Technical school, trade school, or college education preferred.

• Applicable technical certifications are a plus.

• Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining machinery in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Mechanical systems

  • Electrical systems

  • Hydraulic systems

  • Pneumatic systems

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to read and interpret work orders, schematics, part drawings, and blueprints.

• Ability to understand and apply basic shop mathematics.

• Experience using measuring instruments such as micrometers and Pi tape.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple maintenance issues.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments.

• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to lead by example.

• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S preferred.

• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts when required.

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on manufacturing maintenance position requiring regular interaction with production machinery and equipment. The technician must be comfortable working around mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems while consistently following established safety procedures.
