Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking a Shift Maintenance Supervisor to lead and support maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment in Rochester, NY. This direct hire opportunity is responsible for overseeing maintenance team members, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring efficient operations during assigned shifts. The ideal candidate has strong maintenance experience, proven leadership skills, and the ability to drive preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced production environment.

Pay Rate:

  • $65,000 – $118,000/Year + Bonus Eligibility

Shift:

  • 12-Hour Rotating Fireman's Schedule

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage maintenance team members during assigned shifts
  • Coach, train, and develop team members to improve technical skills and performance
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules, assignments, and staffing needs
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance
  • Respond to equipment downtime and provide troubleshooting support as needed
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance procedures, safety policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor maintenance documentation and ensure accurate completion of work records
  • Support the development and execution of preventative maintenance programs
  • Assist with departmental planning, budgeting, and operational goals
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience required
  • Experience in GMP or regulated manufacturing environments preferred
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to analyze problems and implement effective solutions
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Manufacturing/lab environment with exposure to chemicals, equipment, and industrial operations
  • Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the facility
  • Ability to lift and move up to 15 lbs as needed
  • Must follow all PPE, safety, and company compliance requirements
  • Occasional travel required (<5%, with possible short-term increased travel during equipment commissioning)
