Maintenance Manager

Location: Chandler, AZ

Overview

A well-established advanced manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at its Chandler facility. This individual will be responsible for equipment reliability, facility maintenance, capital projects, preventive maintenance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can effectively manage a maintenance team while driving operational efficiency, safety, and equipment uptime.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Establish and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
  • Manage facility infrastructure and utility systems, including HVAC, compressed air, water treatment, and related equipment.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime and improve performance.
  • Lead capital equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvement projects.
  • Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track maintenance activities, equipment history, and asset performance.
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Environmental Health & Safety teams to support operational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience leading maintenance teams and managing plant-wide maintenance programs.
  • PLC troubleshooting and controls experience required.
  • Proven experience managing capital projects and equipment improvement initiatives.
  • Hands-on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience utilizing CMMS software and maintenance planning systems.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems for maintenance purchasing and documentation.
  • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within electronics manufacturing, industrial processing, chemical processing, or similar production environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), FMEA, RCM, or related reliability tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and P&IDs.
  • Experience with industrial automation, sensors, instrumentation, and process control systems.
