SUMMARY
Operate equipment to form, cut, shape, mold, and finish automotive component parts.
DIMENSIONS
Manufactures/produces automotive component parts at routed rates, in a team oriented work cell.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate equipment which may include presses, cutting, staking and small mold equipment
- Possess ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Maintain established rate standards and documentation of utilization performance
- Visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, use of measuring devices, assembly or fabrication of parts at or within arms length\ operation of machines and observing general surroundings and activities
- Maintain statistical quality data as outlined by control plans
- Maintain good housekeeping
- Follow all safety precautions, policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent in experience and/or training.
Six months to one year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess basic math skills and the ability to read and follow instructions, good attendance, good dexterity, and eye and hand coordination. Must possess the physical characteristics and strength to assist where needed. Must successfully complete all aspects of training on the job in a timely manner. Good communication skills and attitude to succeed in a team environment. Flexibility to work overtime as required.
