Job Description

The Mill Machine Operator is responsible for machine operation and changeover activities to achieve and maintain high-quality production standards. This role requires working safely, efficiently, and accurately while supporting plant performance in Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR), and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Safely operate and maintain assigned machines and related equipment to meet daily production goals.
• Complete safety observations as assigned.
• Read and follow standard work instructions and established processes.
• Verify the correct components are at the workstation before beginning a job.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Operate vertical bar machines to manufacture electrical connectors.
• Perform quality checks using gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
• Package finished parts.
• Perform the essential functions of the position safely and effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Previous machine operation experience.
• Good basic math skills.
• Experience using gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
• Ability to stand, lift, and bend throughout an 8–10-hour workday.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

Schedule & Pay Details

• Pay rate: $18–$20 per hour.
• Hours: 6:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Paid time: Associates work through their lunch break, working 9.5 hours on-site and receiving pay for 10 hours.
