Position Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment to meet output, quality, and safety standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical awareness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation
- Set up, operate, and adjust production equipment (filling, blending, packaging, or assembly machines)
- Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments to maintain efficiency
- Perform changeovers based on product specifications
- Ensure proper material loading and product flow
- Meet or exceed daily production targets
- Minimize downtime by identifying and addressing minor issues quickly
- Accurately complete production counts and documentation
- Inspect product to ensure it meets quality standards
- Identify defects and escalate issues immediately
- Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and sanitation procedures
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards)
- Report safety hazards, near misses, and incidents
- Perform basic preventative maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, inspections)
- Assist maintenance team with troubleshooting when needed
- Identify early signs of equipment failure
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year of manufacturing or machine operation experience
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Experience with packaging equipment (HFFS, fillers, cappers, conveyors)
- Familiarity with GMP or regulated manufacturing environments
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong work ethic and reliability (attendance is critical)
- Hands-on problem solver
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Willingness to learn and grow
- Manufacturing floor (noise, moving equipment, chemicals depending on area)
- Exposure to dust, powder and liquid cleaning chemicals.
- Exposure to ambient temperature (Hot in summer, cold in winter).
- Shift Mon-Thurs 6:00AM-4:30PM, overtime as needed.
