Machine Operator – High-Speed Manufacturing
Location: Plano, TX 75074
Position Type: Contract-to-Hire
SCHEDULE:
Night Shift: Thursday–Saturday + alternating Wednesdays
Hours: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
Join a growing manufacturing team as a Machine Operator in a fast-paced production environment. This role is ideal for experienced operators with a strong mechanical aptitude who are comfortable operating high-speed manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting production issues, and maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate high-speed production and packaging equipment, including VFFS and automated pouching/canning lines.
- Perform equipment setups, changeovers, troubleshooting, and minor mechanical adjustments.
- Monitor production to ensure quality, efficiency, and minimal downtime.
- Conduct quality inspections and complete required production documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following GMP and food safety standards.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper PPE usage, and support production goals.
- Assist with training and mentoring new operators as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of machine operating experience in a food manufacturing, packaging, or GMP environment.
- Experience operating high-speed filling, packaging, or labeling equipment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift materials as needed.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Previous leadership or training experience is a plus.
