Build Enterprise Business Applications for a Global Financial Institution
We are seeking an experienced Low Code / Microsoft Power Platform Developer to join a collaborative technology team supporting a leading global financial services organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing business applications, automating workflows, and partnering with business stakeholders to solve complex operational challenges.
You'll be responsible for developing enterprise applications and workflow automation solutions that support business functions including Regulatory Reporting, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Operations, HR, KYC, and Global Markets.
This position follows a hybrid schedule requiring three days per week onsite in Midtown Manhattan.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and deploy business applications using the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Build solutions utilizing Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Online, Dataverse, and SQL Server.
- Develop modern SharePoint solutions using SPFx, React, HTML, and CSS.
- Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation and workflow improvements.
- Support, enhance, and maintain existing enterprise applications and production systems.
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), technical design, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support.
- Integrate applications with SQL Server, APIs, and enterprise systems.
- Work closely with business, infrastructure, security, and support teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute within an Agile development environment using modern DevOps practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Power Apps
- Power Automate
- SharePoint Online
- SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
- React
- HTML & CSS
- Microsoft Dataverse
- SQL Server
- Experience developing enterprise workflow automation solutions.
- Strong SQL development skills including:
- Stored Procedures
- Database Design
- Relational Data Modeling
- Performance Tuning
- Indexing
- MERGE Statements
- Complex SQL Queries and Joins
- Experience integrating Power Platform with SQL Server and other enterprise data sources.
- Understanding of REST APIs and application integration.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Power BI
- Alteryx
- ServiceNow
- Jenkins
- Bitbucket
- Azure DevOps
- Low-code/no-code certifications
- Financial services, banking, capital markets, or investment management environments
