Inventory Control Coordinator
Position Overview
This is an onsite position that combines both warehouse and administrative responsibilities, with approximately 40% warehouse work and 60% computer-based tasks. Candidates must be comfortable working with computers and utilizing inventory management systems. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and inventory control software is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Warehouse Operations
- Receive incoming materials and verify packing slips against shipment contents.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, inaccuracies, or irregularities in received shipments.
- Stage and organize inventory on warehouse shelves by installation project using printed move orders.
- Transfer materials from the warehouse to technician vehicles for installation projects.
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits of warehouse sub-inventories.
- Conduct manual inventory counts as needed to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Inventory System Management
- Enter material receipts into Oracle and update installation projects in proprietary inventory systems.
- Record inventory transfers and material movements within Oracle.
- Enter and submit cycle count data for approval.
- Process material orders through Oracle/SAP systems.
- Review and reconcile order and receiving reports to maintain inventory accuracy.
Administrative & Communication Duties
- Communicate with internal departments via email regarding inventory and order status.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding material order status and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software applications.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred
- One year of inventory control experience.
- Experience working in a warehouse, materials, or inventory environment.
- Experience with Oracle software.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly:
- Outlook
- Excel
- Word
Note: In lieu of the educational requirement, a minimum of two years of experience in a materials or inventory-related role may be considered.
