Job Summary:
The Line Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating production and packaging equipment in a fast-paced tea and coffee manufacturing environment. This position ensures products are produced, packaged, and labeled according to company quality and production standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor production and packaging equipment on an assigned production line.
- Set up, start, stop, and make basic adjustments to equipment as needed.
- Feed materials and packaging components into the production line.
- Monitor product flow and equipment performance to maintain consistent production.
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
- Inspect packaging, labels, seals, and finished products for defects.
- Remove damaged or defective products from the production line.
- Keep the production area clean and organized throughout the shift.
- Follow all food safety, GMP, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Complete required production paperwork and documentation accurately.
- Communicate equipment issues, quality concerns, or production problems to the Lead or Supervisor.
- Assist with line changeovers, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing, production, packaging, or machine operation experience preferred.
- Food or beverage manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Ability to operate machinery and learn new equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, stoop, and use hands.
- Ability to lift and move materials/products as required.
- Ability to work around moving machinery and production equipment.
- Ability to wear required PPE and follow food safety requirements.
