Licensing Specialist

Downtown Phoenix, AZ

Part-Time (20 Hours/Week) – Flexible Schedule
100% Onsite

We are seeking a detail-oriented Licensing Specialist to assist with processing licensing applications, customer service, and administrative support. This position is ideal for someone with strong computer skills who can multitask, adapt quickly, and work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment. Immediate availability is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process online and paper licensing applications.
  • Review applications for compliance with statutes and licensing requirements.
  • Complete fingerprinting and background check processes.
  • Communicate application status updates to applicants.
  • Respond to public inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
  • Process fees and maintain accurate receipts and records.
  • Prepare board meeting materials, agendas, and meeting minutes.
  • Attend and assist with board meetings as needed.
  • Order and maintain office supplies.
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with special projects.

Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing workloads.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience working for the State of Arizona.
  • Licensing or regulatory experience.
  • System migration or data conversion projects.
  • Audit or compliance experience.
  • Administrative or clerical support.
  • Customer service experience.

Additional Information

  • 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
  • 100% onsite in Downtown Phoenix.
  • Immediate availability is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates must be available for a phone interview shortly after submission.
