The Associate Health & Leave Specialist is responsible for administering health, leave of absence, and workers' compensation programs while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This position serves as a trusted resource for associates and leadership, coordinating leave requests, managing case documentation, supporting occupational health initiatives, facilitating return-to-work processes, and providing guidance on leave-related policies and procedures. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering accurate, confidential, and employee-focused support.

Proficiency with HR systems (Preferred)
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Must be flexible to work different hours as needed by the department/business

Qualifications (experience may include a combination of work experience and/or education)
0-1 years of experience in HR Leave Management or Medical Assisting
Experience in Workers' Compensation (Preferred)
Experience with external vendors or TPAs (Preferred)
Experience in Occupational Health setting (Preferred)
Education
High School Diploma or GED
2- or 4-year degree in related medical field or Human Resources field (Preferred)
Certification/License
First Aid and CPR Certified (Preferred)
SHRM CP or SHRM SCP (Preferred)
Language
English (written and verbal)
Bilingual in Spanish/English (written and verbal) - Preferred
