Responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and verifying control systems for Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) in the Engines & Power Systems (EPS) business unit. You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Working with a team to develop control system components (LRUs) and electronic controller for a new APU program.
• Executing and documenting trade studies.
• Develop and implement the MBSE and digital engineering architecture for a new APU controls development program.
• Integrating control system with APU.
• Control system requirements development, analysis, decomposition, and validation.
• Develop and implement control algorithms and software for APUs.
• Control system design, integration, and validation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

You Must Have:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or aerospace engineering
• 8 years of systems engineering experience in support of safety-critical aerospace development
• Strong knowledge and understanding of control systems engineering principles and processes
• Experience with control system design, implementation, and testing

• Experience providing hands on coaching, training, and day to day support for engineering team members
• Experience with IBM ELM and CAMEO
• Knowledge of APU systems and their integration into aircraft
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to control systems in aerospace applications
• Self-motivation to work with little supervision and take the initiative to complete tasks
• Ability to change course based on new information and direction
• Ability to make autonomous decisions

You will report directly to our Senior Engineering Program Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule.
