2nd Shift-Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2am
Key Responsibilities (Summary)
- Perform hand laser welding on aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel materials
- Prepare and inspect materials to ensure quality prior to welding
- Set up and adjust welding equipment based on material specifications
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
- Execute various weld types (butt, lap, fillet) per project requirements
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Handle and move materials safely during production
- Monitor production workflow and complete required reports and documentation
- Record production data and maintain accurate system entries (e.g., ERP systems)
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and timelines
- Follow SOPs and work instructions for all processes
- Maintain and perform routine upkeep on welding equipment
- Complete additional tasks as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic understanding of measuring tools and weld inspection techniques
- Ability to read and interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and engineering drawings
- Familiarity with various grades of aluminum and their welding requirements
- Strong knowledge of shop safety procedures and proper PPE usage
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
- Capable of welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to assess welded structures and components for defects
- Experience welding small and large components (mild steel, aluminum, stainless steel)
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions in English
Additional Qualifications
- Completion of a welding course or vocational training program preferred
- Ability to perform basic math for interpreting process sheets, SOPs, and tracking materials and scrap
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds intermittently
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift frequently
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
