Job Summary:
Nesco Resource is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join a growing metal fabrication team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality metal parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines (fiber or CO2)
- Load and unload raw materials, including sheet metal and plate
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and material specifications
- Adjust machine settings to ensure precise cuts and optimal performance
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting
- Monitor production quality and make adjustments as needed
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience operating laser cutting machines in a fabrication environment preferred
- Ability to read and use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with CNC controls
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift up to [insert weight] and stand for extended periods
- Knowledge of metals such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel is a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with fabrication drawings or blueprints
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Forklift experience (a plus)

Work Environment:
