We are currently seeking Rock Processing Laboratory Technicians to support our clients' geological and materials processing operations in the NW Houston area. This role involves handling and preparing rock samples using specialized equipment and machinery. Ideal candidates are comfortable with physical work, including lifting heavy materials, and are flexible with on-call scheduling.
Key Responsibilities as a Rock Processing Laboratory Technician will include:
- Process and prepare rock samples for analysis using saws, drill presses, and other lab machinery
- Safely operate heavy equipment and follow operational procedures
- Accurately document sample information and maintain lab records
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab and workstations
- Adhere strictly to lab safety and handling protocols
- Respond to and work during on-call shifts as required
To qualify for the Rock Processing Laboratory Technician, you will be required:
- Comfortable performing physical tasks
- Willingness to work on-call shifts (including nights or weekends as needed)
- Ability to work safely in a lab environment
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Submit to a background and drug screen
Preferred:
- Prior experience in rock processing, mudlogging, or a related field
- High school diploma or equivalent (degree not required, but a plus)
