Quality Control Laboratory Technician
Position Summary
The Quality Control Laboratory Technician performs routine to intermediate-level laboratory testing to support the release of veterinary biological products. This role follows strict company and government regulations while conducting laboratory procedures, documenting results, maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies, and supporting quality control operations.

Education & Experience Requirements
One of the following qualifications is required:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field
- Associate degree in a related field plus 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and intermediate-level Quality Control testing on veterinary biological products
- Conduct laboratory procedures including:
- Mammalian and insect cell culture
- ELISA testing
- Bacterial and viral inactivation assurance testing
- HPLC analysis
- Additional testing methods as assigned
- Prepare, sterilize, and maintain laboratory media, solutions, glassware, reagents, and equipment
- Accurately document and enter test results into LIMS and SAP systems
- Review laboratory records, evaluate test dispositions, and complete required documentation
- Report unusual, non-routine, or out-of-specification results to Quality Control management
- Prepare and qualify laboratory reagents, supplies, solutions, and media
- Assist with the creation and revision of SOPs, test methods, and laboratory worksheets
- Troubleshoot basic to intermediate laboratory methods with limited supervision
- Perform peer review of laboratory records
- Support special projects and other departmental initiatives as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with basic to intermediate laboratory techniques and procedures
- General knowledge of biology and chemistry principles
- Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail
- Strong mathematical and technical writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Quality Control, Manufacturing, and Research & Development teams
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 25 pounds, with or without assistance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing 9 CFR testing for veterinary biological products
- Experience using SAP and/or LIMS systems
- Hands-on experience with ELISA, cell culture, bacterial and viral inactivation assurance testing, and HPLC
- Previous experience in a regulated laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or veterinary biologics environment
