Expeditor / Junior Buyer

Tulsa, OK | Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire

The Opportunity

A growing manufacturing company is looking for an Expeditor / Junior Buyer to join its Supply Chain team. This role will help keep materials moving by monitoring purchase orders, communicating with suppliers, expediting critical items, and supporting day-to-day purchasing activities.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in purchasing, procurement, expediting, inventory, or manufacturing who wants to grow into a Buyer or broader Supply Chain role.

What You'll Do

• Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on confirmations, lead times, delivery dates, and late orders

• Identify material shortages or supplier delays that could impact production and help coordinate solutions

• Expedite critical materials and keep internal teams updated on changing delivery expectations

• Create and maintain purchase orders, revisions, pricing, and supplier information in the ERP system

• Obtain supplier quotes, pricing, availability, and lead-time information

• Work with suppliers, freight providers, Receiving, Production, and other internal teams to resolve delivery or material issues

• Review material requirements and open orders to help ensure needed components are available when production needs them

• Support purchasing and supply chain improvement efforts as responsibilities grow

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, expediting, inventory, supply chain, or manufacturing

• Manufacturing or industrial experience is a plus

• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems preferred

• Comfortable communicating directly with suppliers and following up until issues are resolved

• Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and keep things moving in a fast-paced environment

• Basic Microsoft Excel and computer skills
