Junior Accountant – Direct Hire
NESCO Resource is partnering with a growing Aero-Tech manufacturer in Plainview, NY to find a motivated Junior Accountant ready to build their career with a company that values its people and promotes from within.
This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who wants more than just a job. You’ll join a collaborative Finance Team, gain exposure to multiple areas of accounting, and have the opportunity to learn, grow, and take on additional responsibility.
What You’ll Do
- Support daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, invoicing, payments, and reconciliations
- Prepare daily cash reports and reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Assist with weekly, month-end, and year-end close, including journal entries and reporting
- Support billing and collections by following up on outstanding accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger activity
- Research and resolve basic billing and vendor questions
- Assist with audits and provide requested documentation
- Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Help identify ways to improve accounting processes and efficiency
- Work closely with the Finance Team on reporting, analysis, and special projects
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field; Bachelor’s preferred
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Someone who is curious, dependable, eager to learn, and ready to grow
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Important ITAR Requirement
