Now Hiring – Journeyman Welder
Based in Rochester, NY (Shop + Field Work)
Full-Time
$27–$55/hr (based on experience)
We’re working with a growing industrial services company looking to add Welders at all experience levels (L1–L5) — from those early in their career to experienced, journeyman-level welders.
If you take pride in your work, like building things the right way, and want variety in your day-to-day — this is a solid opportunity.
What you’ll be doing:
• MIG and stick welding on structural, pipe, and fabricated components
• Fit-up, layout, and tack welding using shop drawings and weld symbols
• Prepping and aligning materials (including stainless when needed)
• Supporting fabrication, assembly, and installation work
• Performing visual weld inspections and identifying defects
• Working with shop and field teams on a variety of projects
Qualifications:
• Journeyman-level welding experience(formal certification OR equivalent hands-on experience)
• MIG and stick welding experience (flat/horizontal required; more advanced positions welcome)
• Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and basic schematics
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Reliable work ethic and team mindset
What to expect:
• Hands-on work in both shop and field environments
• Variety of projects — not the same thing every day
• Opportunity to grow into higher-skill welding (TIG, stainless, vertical/overhead, etc.)
• Overtime available depending on workload
