Janitorial / Facilities Maintenance Associate

Summary:
Nesco Resource is seeking a Janitorial / Facilities Maintenance Associate on a temp to hire bassi, to support cleanliness, safety, and facility upkeep within a manufacturing and office environment. This role is responsible for maintaining interior workspaces, exterior grounds, and common areas while ensuring a clean, safe, and professional appearance throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have janitorial or custodial experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in an industrial setting.
Pay Rate:$18.00 – $19.00/Hour, Based on Experience
Shift:
8:30 AM – 5:00 PM OR 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, counters, floors, partitions, and dispensers.
- Restock paper products, soap, and other restroom supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, entryways, stairways, offices, breakrooms, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and spot-clean floors, rugs, mats, and carpets throughout the facility.
- Dust and wipe down desks, counters, furniture, ledges, windowsills, and other surfaces.
- Clean interior and exterior windows, glass doors, and entrance areas.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners as needed.
- Perform routine cleaning within manufacturing areas while following all safety procedures.
- Maintain exterior grounds including sidewalks, entrances, parking lots, loading docks, and surrounding areas.
- Remove trash, leaves, paper, and debris from outdoor areas.
- Assist with snow removal and salting of walkways and entrances during winter weather.
- Organize and maintain pallet and skid storage/disposal areas.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, leaks, spills, damaged equipment, and supply shortages.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals, supplies, and janitorial equipment in accordance with SDS requirements and company procedures.
- Complete required safety training and follow all company safety policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Reliable attendance and dependability.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb step ladders, and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
- Experience using janitorial equipment such as floor scrubbers, floor buffers, pressure washers, and step ladders preferred.
- Familiarity with SDS (Safety Data Sheets) and safe chemical handling practices preferred.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with elevated noise levels.
- Manufacturing, warehouse, office, and outdoor work environments.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive physical activity.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment and industrial operations.
- Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals, airborne particles, wet conditions, and elevated work areas.
- Ability to safely perform duties in a loud industrial environment.
- Must be capable of maintaining facility cleanliness standards while adhering to all safety requirements.
