Jacket Repairer

Position Summary:

Nesco Resource is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Jacket Repairer to join a manufacturing team. This position is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining fabric jackets or protective covers used in production. The ideal candidate will have strong hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect jackets, covers, or fabric products for tears, defects, and damage.
• Repair materials using industrial sewing machines, hand sewing, patching techniques, or other approved repair methods.
• Replace damaged components such as zippers, snaps, Velcro, straps, or fasteners as needed.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure repaired items meet company standards.
• Identify items that cannot be repaired and separate them according to company procedures.
• Maintain production records and complete required documentation accurately.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Meet daily production and quality goals while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with other production duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous sewing, textile, upholstery, alterations, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience operating industrial sewing equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to distinguish colors, patterns, and fabric defects.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Frequent use of hands for sewing, repairing, and handling materials.
• Repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25–40 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to bend, reach, and twist as needed.
