Overview

Client is seeking a Senior ABAP Developer with strong SAP Production Planning and Order-to-Cash experience. This role will support SAP development, integration, implementation, migration, cutover, and post-go-live support efforts within a manufacturing-focused SAP environment.

Core Responsibilities

Interact with management, business process teams, and business users to gather and clarify system requirements.

Analyze software requirements and determine technical design feasibility.

Design and develop SAP RICEF objects, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.

Develop SAP software solutions, including programming, documentation, and testing procedures.

Coordinate SAP development transports with the SAP Basis team across the transport landscape.

Support SAP implementation activities and advise on technical design, development, and deployment.

Develop and support SAP cutover planning before go-live.

Provide post-go-live maintenance support and technical guidance.

Coordinate the implementation of technical objects within the SAP NetWeaver platform.

Advise on SAP enhancements, bug fixes, OSS notes, support packages, and system upgrades.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

10+ years of experience as an ABAP Developer.

Strong functional background in SAP Production Planning.

Strong SAP development experience supporting Production Planning and supply chain solutions.

Experience with Order-to-Cash processes.

Experience designing and developing SAP RICEF objects.

Strong form development experience with Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, and SAPscript.

S/4HANA migration experience.

Experience designing and developing third-party system integrations using APIs, IDocs, and other integration protocols.

Proficiency with object-oriented ABAP programming.

Ability to provide scalable SAP technical solutions.

Good knowledge of SAP best practices and industry standards.

Experience working in Agile development environments.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Preferred Skills or Experience

Manufacturing industry experience.

Discrete manufacturing experience, especially cable manufacturing.

Experience in at least two of the following areas: SAP APO, SAP Workflow, SAP BTP, third-party planning solution integrations, SAP GTS/FTZ, or SAP Commerce Cloud / Hybris integrations.

Work Details

Remote position.

Candidates local to North Carolina preferred; candidates in all U.S. locations may be considered.

Must be willing to support EST hours.

Standard work week, Monday through Friday, 40 hours.

Some overtime may be anticipated.

Travel up to 5% for onsite project meetings in Charlotte, NC, typically 2–3 days at a time.

At least 3 weeks’ advance notice provided for travel.

Travel expenses are reimbursable.

Anticipated assignment duration is approximately 7 months, with possibility of extension based on demand.

Interview process: one-round video panel interview.
