Overview

Client is seeking an IT Project Leader to manage IT projects from initiation through completion. This role will lead project planning, execution, stakeholder communication, risk management, budgeting, quality assurance, and reporting to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans covering scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
  • Lead project execution and monitor progress against established plans and milestones.
  • Manage project teams by providing direction, support, and coordination.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define project requirements, expectations, and business objectives.
  • Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and prepare financial reports.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and organizational requirements.
  • Conduct project reviews and audits to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain project plans, schedules, meeting minutes, status reports, and other project documentation.
  • Present project status, risks, financial information, and delivery updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT project management or a related role.
  • Proven experience successfully managing complex IT projects.
  • Strong project leadership and project team management skills.
  • Experience managing project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello, or GitHub.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development, and system integration.
  • Strong organizational, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in English.

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification.
  • Experience supporting global projects or teams.

Work Details

  • Remote position.
  • Candidates must be located in the Texas region.
  • Occasional travel to the site may be required.
