Overview
The IT Project Coordinator supports the IT Project Management Office and works closely with business stakeholders, developers, data scientists, analysts, and domain experts to deliver IT solutions that meet business needs. This role plays a key part in supporting enterprise digital transformation initiatives through effective project coordination, quality governance, and testing activities.
The successful candidate will support Project Managers while coordinating project quality, SDLC compliance, testing execution, documentation, and stakeholder communication across Agile and traditional project environments. Strong collaboration, organization, facilitation, and attention to detail are critical to success in this role.

Core Responsibilities
• Support Project Managers with project quality plans, schedules, test status reporting, stage-gate presentations, and overall project coordination activities.
• Coordinate project quality and testing activities across business teams, technical teams, vendor partners, and stakeholders.
• Monitor and report project dependencies, risks, issues, impacts, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain project documentation, approvals, quality artifacts, testing evidence, and audit-ready records within designated repositories.
• Serve as the SDLC and QA subject matter expert for assigned projects across Agile and traditional delivery methodologies.
• Develop and maintain quality plans, quality documentation, testing deliverables, quality metrics, and required project approvals.
• Ensure adherence to SDLC, QA, Agile delivery standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable SOX controls.
• Lead quality reviews, inspections, peer review meetings, testing activities, and release-readiness assessments.
• Manage end-to-end testing activities, including system, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Develop test approaches, test plans, test schedules, testing strategies, success metrics, and entry and exit criteria.
• Facilitate test scenario and test script development and lead testing kickoff and defect review meetings.
• Manage the complete defect lifecycle, including triage, prioritization, tracking, retesting, reporting, and closure.
• Coordinate performance testing activities, including workload modeling, execution planning, environment readiness, monitoring, analysis, and remediation support.
• Create, maintain, and execute OpenText LoadRunner performance and load-testing scripts and analyze testing results.
• Prepare and communicate quality metrics, testing status, compliance updates, risks, issues, audit readiness, and performance testing outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or an equivalent technical field.
• Minimum of 5–10+ years of experience working as an IT project team member. Quality Analyst experience preferred.
• Strong meeting facilitation skills.
• Experience serving as a test lead and coordinating testing efforts between IT and business teams, including automated performance testing initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify project risks and support decision-making through risk analysis.
• Proven leadership and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple project assignments simultaneously, and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage workload, establish priorities, and work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking, conflict resolution, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Experience developing test approach documentation for Agile and traditional project environments.
• Working knowledge of SDLC governance, quality assurance, testing processes, compliance requirements, and regulatory controls, including SOX.
• Hands-on experience with OpenText LoadRunner, including Virtual User Generator scripting, parameterization, correlation, test scenario configuration, execution, monitoring, and results analysis.

Preferred Skills or Experience
• Project management methodology certification.
• Agile methodology certification.
• Experience with OpenText ALM (Quality Center).
• Experience applying SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and Iterative delivery within enterprise IT environments.
• Experience with OpenText LoadRunner Cloud and Virtual User Generator scripting tools.
• Experience using Planview tools, including AgilePlace, ProjectPlace, and Portfolio.
• Experience creating Power BI reports.
• Knowledge of Planview, GitLab, Confluence, and related Agile tools.
• Experience with automated testing tools and processes.
• Introductory Scrum or Agile certifications or training.
• Knowledge of AI tools and agents.

Work Details
• Remote; open to candidates throughout the United States. Candidates located near Rochester, NY or Charlotte, NC are preferred.
• Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time. Some flexibility may be required to support collaboration with global teams.
• One-round panel video interview process.
