Position Overview

The IT Retail Deployment & Store Readiness Project Coordinator supports the successful execution of new retail locations and store renovation initiatives by ensuring operational and technology teams remain aligned throughout the project lifecycle. This role works cross-functionally with store operations, construction, vendors, fulfillment teams, and IT stakeholders to coordinate timelines, communicate project status, and facilitate smooth operational readiness for launch activities.

The position is responsible for maintaining visibility across milestones, identifying dependencies or risks, and ensuring all participating teams have the information required to support store opening and transition activities effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Operations, Construction, and IT teams to coordinate activities related to new store openings and renovation projects.
  • Maintain and communicate project schedules, readiness milestones, and implementation expectations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support planning and execution meetings by collecting project inputs, documenting requirements, and distributing updates to relevant teams.
  • Track fulfillment and technology readiness activities, including changes to timelines, project scope, and deployment status.
  • Facilitate recurring meetings, readiness reviews, and coordination touchpoints to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
  • Monitor project tasks and follow-up items, ensuring actions are communicated, documented, and completed on schedule.
  • Coordinate field activities and vendor schedules while tracking completion updates and outstanding dependencies.
  • Assist with store readiness validation efforts by documenting outcomes and escalating unresolved issues to the appropriate support teams.
  • Communicate launch and go-live progress updates while helping manage issue escalation and resolution during critical implementation periods.
  • Provide concise reporting on project health, upcoming activities, risks, blockers, and dependencies for both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Organize and maintain project documentation, approval records, implementation checklists, and operational readiness materials.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance communication flow, project consistency, and handoff procedures across store deployment initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting retail technology operations, POS environments, field IT support, or store deployment initiatives.
  • Familiarity with retail systems, store technology infrastructure, and operational readiness coordination is preferred.
  • Ability to assist with issue tracking, readiness validation, and coordination with technical support teams during deployment activities.
  • Understanding of basic networking or connectivity concepts within retail environments is beneficial.
  • Experience working with vendors, field teams, construction schedules, and store operations in deadline-driven environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical updates in business-friendly language.
  • Ability to support incident coordination, prioritize follow-up actions, and escalate risks appropriately during fast-paced implementations.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, project tracking tools, ticketing systems, and operational documentation.
  • Flexibility to support after-hours deployments or launch activities when required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Microsoft Teams, are advantageous.
  • Experience using tools such as ServiceNow or Smartsheet is considered a plus.
