position's primary responsibility is managing inventory by organizing excess parts, putting them away, and accurately logging them into our database. Inspection duties will serve as a secondary function, ensuring products meet established quality standards. The ideal candidate is comfortable using a computer, is eager to learn, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Shift
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday
- Potential for 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM schedule after training, based on business needs.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory by organizing, storing, and accurately putting away excess parts.
- Log inventory transactions and maintain accurate records using the company's database.
- Gather necessary materials and inspection devices for each inspection job.
- Use fixed or preset measuring tools to inspect product attributes such as size, tolerance, color, and fit.
- Ensure all materials and finished products meet established quality and performance standards.
- Interpret and follow engineering drawings and specifications to conduct accurate inspections.
- Inspect, sort, count, package, and label products as directed by work instructions.
- Conduct inspections based on recommended Statistical Quality Control (SQC) levels.
- Maintain detailed inspection and inventory records, including defect tracking, quantities passed/failed, inventory transactions, and time spent per job.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and participate in safety training sessions.
- Support and maintain LEAN manufacturing practices.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring all tools, materials, and inventory are properly stored.
- Cross-train in various departments, including sheet and part inspection, assembly, machining, screen printing, digital imaging, and other production areas as needed.
- Prior manufacturing, inventory, warehouse, or inspection experience preferred but not required.
- Comfortable using a computer and learning new software; training will be provided on the company's inventory system.
- Familiarity with measuring tools and inspection techniques is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, engineering drawings, and memos.
- Strong math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and work with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective reasoning and problem-solving ability in standardized situations.
- Strong time management, dependability, and professionalism.
- Regularly required to sit, use hands, talk, and hear.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Ability to lift and move up to 5 pounds.
- Visual abilities must include color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Moderate noise level.
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.
