Position Title: Inventory Control Specialist
Position Overview
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels by auditing systems, investigating discrepancies, and supporting daily order processing. This role works closely with Quality and Manufacturing teams to manage product status changes, including returned, expired, and quarantined materials. The position requires strong attention to detail and frequent use of inventory and computer systems to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit inventory to ensure system accuracy and maintain proper balance
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies during daily order processing
- Process rejected, expired, short-dated, and returned products
- Support Quality and Manufacturing teams with materials being destroyed, reworked, or quarantined
- Resolve orders placed on hold due to inventory status issues
- Maintain accurate inventory records across systems
- Utilize inventory management systems and computer interfaces to track and update product status
Qualifications
Required:
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Strong computer skills and experience working within inventory or ERP systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with quality processes related to product disposition (rework, quarantine, destruction)
