Basic Function
- Develop Instrument and Electrical Preventative Maintenance Plans and document detailed work instructions required to execute plans
- Travel to the field to walk down jobs
- Develop standard job plans (Tasks lists) for repeatable tasks
- Utilize designated communication channels for effective and timely information sharing. This can include verbal, electronic, written, computer databases (i.e. SAP, Leankit, IMS)
- Ensure open and transparent communication with team members and relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for planning.
- Maintain strong communication with maintenance supervisors and craftsmen to address any queries or concerns regarding work packages.
- Identify and kit required parts in advance to avoid delays during execution
- Clarifying PM and Work order requests and scopes with Operations
- Update and maintain accurate BOMs (Bill of Materials)
- Prioritizing backlog based on risk, readiness, and resource availability
- Coordinate cross-functional input (Ops, Maintenance, Engineering, Inspectors, etc.)
- Review and optimize PM strategies and plans to prevent failure and reduce reactive work
- Ensure that all work packages comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations
- Material Ordering
- Packet Construction
- Search for missing specs or documentation in SAP or shared drives
- Follow up on part orders or vendor lead times
- Communicate incorrect data found in SAP
- Ensure accuracy in all data, including equipment histories, maintenance records, and scheduling information within work orders and Preventative Maintenance plans
- Attend coordination or status meetings
- Perform administrative steps in SAP/Leankit/IMS
- Update files or documentation for audit/tracking purposes
Requirements:
- 5 years work experience as an instrument technician and/or electrician in an industrial setting.
- Experience as an instrumentation and/or electrical craft planner
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Have SAP PM GUI experience to be able to navigate through T-codes and create Preventative Maintenance Plans and Task Lists.
