Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Welder to join our manufacturing team in Florence, KY. This position is responsible for preparing, fitting, positioning, tack welding, and completing welds on fabricated components and assemblies in accordance with blueprints, weld symbols, specifications, and established welding procedures.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on welder who takes pride in producing high-quality work, can confidently interpret advanced blueprints and weld symbols, and is comfortable working with multiple welding processes. Key Responsibilities

Prepare, position, fit, tack, and weld fabricated components and assemblies according to blueprints, sketches, specifications, and work instructions.

Interpret advanced blueprints, weld symbols, dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication requirements.

Select appropriate welding equipment, materials, and techniques based on the application and characteristics of the metals being joined.

Perform welding in required positions and in accordance with established company welding procedures and specifications.

Apply knowledge of metal properties, heat effects, material thickness, weld shrinkage, geometry, and machining allowances to produce accurate assemblies.

Perform welding using GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, and FCAW/Flux-Cored processes.

Perform plasma cutting and other material preparation activities as required.

Apply flame-straightening techniques when necessary to achieve proper component alignment and dimensional accuracy.

Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment commonly used in the welding and fabrication trade.

Inspect work and identify unusual conditions, material defects, equipment issues, or other problems that could affect quality or production.

Follow all welding procedures, safety requirements, quality standards, and manufacturing instructions.

Assist and provide technical direction to other welders regarding setups, welding techniques, and fabrication requirements.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and apply Manufacturing System principles to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.

Communicate production concerns, equipment issues, and quality problems clearly to supervisors and team members.

Complete other related duties and assignments as directed.
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
-
0–3 years of hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment.

Demonstrated ability to fit, tack, and weld fabricated components and assemblies.

Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.

Working knowledge of GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, and FCAW/Flux-Cored welding.

Familiarity with plasma cutting.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to identify potential problems and either resolve them independently or escalate them appropriately.

Basic computer skills, including email, online training, certifications, and assessments.

Ability to work effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other members of the manufacturing team.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Welding certifications or formal welding training.

Experience with flame straightening.

Experience working from detailed fabrication drawings and welding specifications.

Experience in a high-volume manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.

Experience assisting or mentoring other welders.

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
Work Environment & Schedule
This is a hands-on, onsite manufacturing position located in Florence, Kentucky. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance and be able to reliably report for the scheduled shift.
