Industrial Painter

Location: Akron, Ohio
Pay: Up to $21.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Overtime: Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM as needed

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Painter for a full-time position in Akron, Ohio.

This is an industrial painting position requiring experience with professional industrial painting processes and equipment. We are specifically looking for candidates with hands-on industrial painting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal and other surfaces for painting

• Clean, sand, grind, and properly prepare surfaces

• Mix and apply industrial paints and coatings

• Operate industrial painting equipment

• Apply primers, paints, and protective coatings according to specifications

• Inspect finished surfaces for proper coverage and quality

• Maintain painting equipment and work areas

• Follow safety procedures when handling paints, coatings, solvents, and equipment

• Work independently to complete assigned painting projects

Qualifications

• Previous industrial painting experience required

• Experience with spray painting and industrial coatings preferred

• Knowledge of surface preparation and paint application techniques

• Ability to read and follow job specifications

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Please note: This position is not intended for candidates whose only painting experience is in a retail paint department such as Lowe's or Home Depot. Automotive/car painting experience alone does not meet the requirements for this position.
