Industrial Maintenance Technician – Electrical/Mechanical

$25–$35/hour DOE | Full-Time | 1st or 2nd Shift
We're looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician who knows how to troubleshoot equipment, figure out what went wrong, and get production back up and running.
This is a hands-on maintenance role in a manufacturing environment where you'll work with both electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs, motors, VFDs, controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and production equipment.
If you're the person who hears "the machine is down" and wants to figure out why, we'd like to talk to you.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain production equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
  • Diagnose and repair PLCs, motors, VFDs, motor controls, sensors, and industrial controls
  • Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM)
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance needs
  • Replace and repair motors, bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, sensors, switches, and other components
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
  • Use multimeters and other electrical test equipment
  • Perform basic welding, fabrication, cutting, and mechanical repairs
  • Assist with equipment installation, setup, modification, and relocation
  • Identify potential equipment problems before they become production downtime
  • Document repairs, PMs, work orders, and parts used
  • Follow LOTO, OSHA, and company safety procedures
Required experience:
  • Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • PLC troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with motors, VFDs, motor controls, sensors, and industrial control systems
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Experience using a multimeter or other electrical test equipment
  • Preventative maintenance experience
  • Manufacturing or production environment experience
  • Welding/fabrication experience, including MIG or stick
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
A plus, but not required:
  • CMMS experience
  • Forklift, scissor lift, or man-lift experience
  • Electrical or mechanical trade school
  • Technical training or industry certifications

We're looking for a problem solver, not just a parts changer. The right person will be comfortable getting their hands dirty, working through an equipment problem methodically, and making safe, practical repairs. You don't have to know every piece of equipment on Day 1, but you should be comfortable troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical issues and figuring things out.
