Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Technician to join a continuously operating Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex electrical, electromechanical, and automated production equipment to maximize uptime and ensure efficient manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills and experience with PLCs, robotics, automation, motors, and variable-speed drives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety and follow established safety procedures.

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain custom electromechanical equipment, automated work cells, vision systems, and multi-axis robotics.

Troubleshoot and debug PLC programs of varying complexity.

Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic circuits and control systems.

Troubleshoot and maintain AC/DC motors and adjustable-speed drives.

Read, interpret, and apply electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and plant systems.

Support new equipment installations, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.

Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, production efficiency, and uptime.

Respond promptly to equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Demonstrable industrial or manufacturing experience.

Strong industrial electrical and electromechanical troubleshooting skills.

Experience troubleshooting and debugging PLC programs.

Working knowledge of AC/DC motors and adjustable-speed drives.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

Ability to troubleshoot complex production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Experience

Tier 1 automotive manufacturing.

Injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.

Extrusion lines and automated secondary equipment.

Power punch presses and other industrial production machinery.

Industrial robotics, vision systems, and automated work cells.

PLC-controlled equipment and automated manufacturing systems.
