Index Operator Job Description:
Dependable and detail-oriented Index Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain machines used in manufacturing and production processes. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor index machines to ensure proper production output
Set up machines according to production specifications and work orders
Load raw materials and remove finished products from machines
Inspect parts for quality and accuracy using measuring tools
Perform routine machine adjustments and minor troubleshooting
Maintain production records and complete required documentation
Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times
Keep work area clean and organized
Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production goals
Report equipment malfunctions or production issues promptly
Requirements
Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to read work instructions and blueprints
Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers or gauges
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed
High school diploma or GED preferred
