Hydraulic Assembly & Test Technician

About the Role

The Assembly + Test Technician role supports the assembly, testing, and quality verification of pneumatic and hydraulic units for aerospace applications. This position involves hands-on mechanical assembly work, precision testing, and adherence to strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

  • Review drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions to prepare for work.
  • Gather and organize required parts, tools, and materials.
  • Position, secure, and assemble sub-components using hand tools, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Safely use chemicals, adhesives, lubricants, epoxies, paints, and inks as required.
  • Inspect parts and assemblies using calibrated precision instruments and gauges.
  • Record labor time and maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Identify and report nonconforming materials or questionable conditions.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly care for tools and equipment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and work instructions.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process enhancements.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members across production activities

General Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to perform basic measurements and calculations.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
  • Willingness to work overtime or adjusted schedules as needed based on production demands.
  • May require occasional travel for training or company-related needs.
