About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to serve as a key business partner within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will provide leadership and support across employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, workforce planning, compliance, and employee development initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who thrives in operational environments, builds strong relationships with leaders and employees, and effectively balances strategic HR initiatives with day-to-day workforce support.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Leadership

  • Serve as the primary HR resource for facility leadership and management teams
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and workplace concerns
  • Conduct investigations and support resolution of employee issues and complaints
  • Promote employee engagement and positive workplace culture initiatives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop HR team members while supporting departmental goals

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Development

  • Oversee recruiting efforts for hourly and salaried positions
  • Partner with leaders to support workforce planning and staffing strategies
  • Manage onboarding and orientation processes to ensure successful employee integration
  • Support succession planning and employee development initiatives
  • Assist with leadership training and workforce development programs

HR Compliance & Operations

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices
  • Maintain employee records, documentation, and HR reporting requirements
  • Support audits, policy administration, and process improvement initiatives
  • Monitor key workforce metrics including turnover, attendance, and retention
  • Partner with payroll and benefits teams to support employee programs and services

Manufacturing & Safety Support

  • Collaborate with operations leadership to support workforce performance and engagement
  • Assist with workers' compensation administration and return-to-work efforts
  • Support initiatives that promote safety, accountability, and operational excellence
  • Partner with leadership to strengthen communication and employee involvement across the facility

Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • 3+ years of HR leadership experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment
  • Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employee populations
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred

Skills

  • Strong employee relations, coaching, and conflict resolution abilities
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and managing sensitive matters
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

Work Environment

This position operates primarily within an office setting while maintaining regular interaction with manufacturing operations. Occasional time spent in production areas may require the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to facility safety standards.

Travel

Occasional local travel may be required to support business operations, training initiatives, or workforce development activities.
