Human Resources Administrator

Dover, NJ (Onsite)

1st Shift, Monday–Friday (generally 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; schedule may vary)
Position Summary
The Human Resources Administrator provides administrative support for multiple plant locations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for a wide range of HR administrative functions while handling highly confidential and sensitive information. The ideal candidate will support HR operations, maintain compliance with employment processes, and assist with payroll and employee relations activities.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & HR Support
- Schedule interviews, meetings, and HR appointments.
- Maintain employee records and HR databases.
- Scan and archive HR files.
- Organize and maintain new hire documentation and onboarding binders.
- Manage employee service awards, recognition programs, and distribution of employee gifts and rewards.
- Maintain employee disciplinary documentation.
- Process and maintain I-9s, background checks, and ITAR-related documentation.
- Track employee training and maintain training records.
- Order office and departmental supplies.
- Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries.
- Coordinate plant-wide meetings, employee events, and engagement activities.
- Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Complete termination paperwork and offboarding documentation.
- Update workforce management systems as needed.
- Process payroll in the absence of the Payroll Administrator.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.
- Comply with department, facility, corporate, and regulatory safety requirements.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report workplace injuries, illnesses, and safety concerns promptly.
- Participate in required EH&S training.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience handling confidential information.
- Minimum of 1 year of payroll experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to obtain authorization to access export-controlled information (ITAR).
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Previous Human Resources experience.
